Mental Health First Aid Training

Support the Mental Well-Being of Your Community

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a comprehensive, 8-hour public education program designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to support people facing mental health and substance use challenges. Whether you’re supporting youth, adults, or veterans, MHFA empowers parents, teachers, first responders, faith leaders, and other community members to recognize early signs of mental health concerns and respond with care, understanding, and connection to appropriate resources.

What is Mental Health First Aid?

As a designated local administrator of Mental Health First Aid, EveryMind offers comprehensive training sessions tailored to a wide range of individuals—including parents, caregivers, teachers, veterans’ advocates, community leaders, and anyone committed to supporting mental wellness. Conducted by certified Mental Health First Aid USA instructors, these sessions equip participants with the tools to recognize and respond to mental health and substance use challenges in people of all ages.

What You’ll Learn:

Gain an understanding of the common mental health issues that affect adolescents, veterans, and adults. These signs may include anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Learn to identify early warning signs that can lead to more serious challenges if left unaddressed.

Discover how timely intervention can make a difference in someone’s mental health journey—whether they’re a youth, adult, or veteran—and help them get the support they need before challenges escalate.

Learn a proven five-step action plan that guides you through how to help a person in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge. This plan will equip you to offer support, connect them to resources, and ensure they receive appropriate care.
