About ServingTogether

Serving the DC Metro Region

Who We Serve

ServingTogether offers veteran support to all individuals who have worn the uniforms of our military – regardless of age, era, branch or discharge status. If you are active duty, National Guard, Reserve Service member, or a veteran or military family member residing in the Metropolitan Washington DC and Greater Baltimore, you are eligible for support.

Not all services are available to every member. However, our Care Coordinators will strive to find an appropriate local resource of military and veteran support for you and your family. Using our network of community partners and AmeriServes (see below), we can help you find answers and a path forward through the otherwise confusing information you can find online.

We offer military service and veteran support to the Greater National Capital Region, which consists of the following communities:

01. District of Columbia

All veterans, active military personnel, and military family members residing in the nation’s capital are eligible to receive assistance through ServingTogether.

02. Maryland

Serving those in Montgomery County, Frederick County, Washington County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Harford County, Prince George’s County, Charles County, St. Mary’s County, Calvert County

03. Northern Virginia

Serving those in the City of Alexandria, Arlington County, Fairfax County, City of Fairfax, City of Falls Church, Prince William County, City of Manassas, City of Manassas Park, Loudoun County

Thanks to our Partners

We are here to help You

This would not be possible without the commitment and servant leadership of our partner providers as well as the generous support of our donors. Our community has come together to create a new innovative approach of leveraging existing strengths, philanthropic leadership, and local coordination to better serve our military and veteran families.

How It Works

Our network continues to work collectively to improve the coordination and direct service delivery to our military and veteran families. By adopting the technology and aggregating our community-¬wide data, we can more accurately identify and measure:

  • Who is requesting services?
  • What services are they requesting?
  • What is the availability of those services?
  • How long does it take to meet the need?
  • Most importantly, what are the individual outcomes as a result of the services delivered?

Affiliation with AmericaServes

AmericaServes is a coordinated network of services, resources, and care that provides direct access and support for veterans, service members, and their families. AmericaServes consists of local and regional networks that are tailored to meet the unique needs of the communities they serve. ServingTogether is the local AmericaServes network for the Greater Washington DC and Baltimore areas.

Each local AmericaServes network consists of vetted service providers that are connected through a Coordination Center – a backbone organization that supports the local network by understanding each provider’s services, capacity and eligibility requirements. It facilitates accurate referrals for network users to receive the services they seek. This means that veterans and military families are connected to providers who understand their unique situation and provide the services they need. Providers are able to refer veterans and military families they are unable to serve to the care they need without taking on the time burden associated with linking to another provider or following up.

The grand vision of AmericaServes is to establish local networks all around the US so that veterans and service members can receive care and services wherever they are, through a single point of entry into a national network of hundreds of quality providers.
